A couple of days ago I saw this post someone put up saying what to do when you you get to that stage in performing magic, where you just think "I just want to give up magic" or something along the lines of that!

Well this is the perfect solution. When ever you feel like that, listen to this song and remember all your most remorable moments when doing magic (be it making a spectator cry or totally fooling another magician).

It works all the time for me.

It just makes you want to get back out there and do your thing.

Barton: Have you read the Bible, Pete?
Pete: Holy Bible?
Barton: Yeah.
Pete: Yeah, I think so. Anyway, I've heard about it.

Well, I do apologize if he is a famous magician or what have you but I said that because it wasn't actually a music video. (Oh, don't worry)

Yeah, it's nice to know you call yourself a working professional and you don't recognise Lennart Green, the greatest living card magician bar none. Good grief... Go back to your X Box.

Just because I do not know who a magician is, I can't have a magic occupation? Do you not think that is a bit of a stubborn thing to say? I am not one of those guys that knows the history of famous magicians and memorises their patter for every trick they perform. Why do I need to? I am not them. I do not use their style of magic in my routines so why do I need to know a thing about them?

And what do you mean "Go back to your X Box"? You do not know a thing about me so don't be saying comments like that to people when you don't even know what their name is.

I must address my remarks to this Queen of Clubs personage. Madam. Lennart Green is NOT the greatest living card magician. That honour falls to me. This Green person is a foreigner and a very boring one.

I have always thought that his presentation is not fluent and terribly dull. I have made allowances in the past because English is not his native language but I suspect strongly that he is just as boring in Swedish as he is in English.

I grant you that magicians like him. However that is always a bad sign. They are fooled by the tricks and the techniques but that does not make the chap a great magician. No. A great magician is one who is entertaining and a character. Lennart Green is not a character and he is certainly not entertaining.

The tricks are of no importance. It is how you present YOURSELF doing them that matters.

Entertainment comes first. The tricks come second. I have known this since I was in my pram. I am afraid this Swedish gentleman has a lot to learn regarding this.

Watching him makes ME want to give up magic...................

you should watch some more then mr. lewis...

the whole idea of lennart is that he is NOT fluent..

and as for a foreigner sir..I'm sure you could write an ebook for your fellow scots on how to leave that land as soon as you make some money..like all of your kind do..

   and other such cheeky emoticons..

I do not need to watch any more. I have already seen him live at a lecture and I was screaming inside for him to finish. Granted that the rest of the audience (all magicians) were foaming at the mouth over him. But then that was just a sign of the blind leading the blind.

He is as entertaining as watching paint dry. I don't know how his tricks are done and I don't CARE how his bloody tricks are done.

Is it such a terribly difficult thing for him to learn to be INTERESTING?

If he were to spend a fraction of his time learning that side of things instead of spending hours and hours on his tricks he might achieve some modicum of competence.

If a magician isn't entertaining then there is absolutely no point him doing it in the first place.
