I commend everyone for the efforts in this so please don't take this the wrong way, and it is possible I don't understand exactly what you are trying to do. But it sounds to me you are attempting to do what this forum already is. A collection of thoughts and ideas based around a specific topic. The only thing that I can see differently is if the board was structured differently. Broken down into Coins, cards, illusions, parlour etc, Problem is then it can be broken down even more. Gimmick cards, gimmicked coins...well you get the point. Perhaps if somebody wanted to create an 'index' as you are suggesting and then checking with a moderator if another heading could be added that would be a read only and one person would be in charge of adding to the index once a week to keep it organized. Even as I type I see the amount of work, the headaches and stresses that would be involved in such an endeavour.
And I'm not convinced that it would be a good thing.
Anyway I just thought I'd throw my pennies in there before the hard work begins and all for naught. The other side of this is even if nothing is gained for Talkmagic. The person who gathers and sorts the information is going to have a wealth of information at their fingertips. So more power to you.
When my wife and I decided to get a dog we thought long and hard as we wanted a big dog but we also both work. So we figured that we would get a large enclosure put a nice dog house in it and during the day the dog would have plenty of room and a place to go to get out of the elements. Dog houses were stupidly expensive. How difficult could it be to build one?A floor a roof a door and sides. Because it gets cold we would also need a wind break inside the dog house. No problem a few days and I would be done. It took at least a month, yes I went overboard, framed the house put in insulation, two rooms, Shuttered windows, a sun deck and ceder shingles. The dog spends perhaps 1% of the time in the dog house even when it snows and 99.9% in her lounge chair that is also in the enclosure which is actually in a picnic pavilion that has its own roof and is surrounded by woods on three sides. So she is well protected.
It is incredible to me how something that starts out quite simple can turn into a nightmare oh so quickly. The upside? I have a very spoiled Husky.
