There's a Max Magic show on Sky One Mix on Sunday September 5th at 8pm.

Some of the programme content (especially the 'silly foreigner' stuff) isn't all that impressive but there's usualy a gem or two in each one which is worth waiting for.

Nixondaniels No wonder you think Monkey Magic is a breath of fresh air and what exactly are you comparing it too? have you had your eyes and ears closed?Max Magic is great,ok some off the characters are a bit lame but 95% of the show is good, also at least they perform to people, unlike Monkey Rubbish where its a couple of Magi's saying to each hey look what I can do most of the time, and when they do perform to the public it is in an obscure way,if I was a member of Joe public and I saw a man eating a ballon I would think he was a tit not a awesome Magi. Also I cant understand why you think sh*te like Monkey Magic is fresh and someone like Derran Brown isn't, the bloke mixes magic with psycoligy, so you dont know where the trick begins and ends. I cant believe you find some one escaping out of a straight jacket in a telephone box more entertaining than someone pointing a loaded gun at their own head and pulling the trigger and he also doesn't claim to be pyshic or any of that other BS. but you are intitled you your own opinion like everyone else I guess.
I was looking on the Magic Bunny forum last night and there was a similar thread to this, and the general consensus there was that although the guys on Monkey Magic may be good Magi's in real life, the show just sucks.
Despite all I have said I will carry on watching it if there is nothing better on the box, I will have to just ignore their naff attempts at humor and wait for the one good trick of the show. Also I forgot to mention that Paul Zenon is often on TV and I think he rocks aswell, a very funny guy. I hope he comes up with a new show soon.

It's each to his own I guess, I do agree with you about Paul Zenon though, he is excellent.

Well at least we agree on something  I saw a programme with Pual in and he said the prob with doing Magic on UK streets is the reaction you get from people i.e people will just say " yea nice one mate" and walk off where as in America the people go crazy, as you can see when you watch any Blaine stuff, the people acutually believe that Blaine has super powers or something, maybe thats why there will always be a lack of UK magic on TV as Brits seem to be a lot less gulable than the American Public.

Or perhaps we just have higher expectations and standards!
