NOOOoooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

Yep that's just what Bill would have wanted as his comedy was all about how to make cash cows and his wish to sell out. Hell, why not make a sitcom about his life and go desacrate his grave while you're at it.

Greedonitz, I couldn't agree more. I heard this news elsewhere and I reacted the same way.

Russell Crowe is a complete *BEEEEEP* of a *BEEEP*. Bill Hicks will be spinning in his metaphorical grave.

You know who I think would be great playing Hicks? Jon Stewart. Am I wrong?

i have just now read that crowes agent has said that "russell isnt known for comedy roles, so this is an interesting challenge for him"............which means not only are they piddling about (i have cleaned this sentence up considerably) with one of my all time heroes life and work......but they are doing it so russell can prove he can do funny

now queen of clubs i see your jon stewart and raise u..........john cusack (tell me he isnt perfect)

Maybe it should be an unknown who looks and sounds right, like Sam Riley playing Ian Curtis in "Control".

I can more easily see Crowe playing the role than Jon Stewart, personally.

Beyond that, don't know what to think about it. I should love the idea of Bill Hicks gaining a wider audience, but there's always that little selfish, elitist gene that likes one of my heroes not to be extremely widely-known!

Jon Stewart should play Lenny Bruce i reckon..

i think it should be an unknown if they really have too...

but really..just go watch his dvds or listen to his cds if you wanna see some bill...

it was a massive shame he died before he got his channel 4 series sorted out...
