Strong card effect

Postby taffy » Aug 23rd, '08, 16:19

Hi guys.

I'm looking for some advice and opinions on a strong card effect.
Basically I'm looking for the card version of coinvexed if you know what I mean?
Someting that is fluid, easy to watch and understand (Spectator wise), and that will leave the spectator floored!

I am not bothered if it is a gimmicked effect, sleight of hand effect or if it is only available on DVD!

Any suggestions welcome. Thanks in advance!

(Oh and Rob, no comments from you as I don't have much of an over draft! :D Only kidding mukka!)

What like a signed bend card routie, or a seriously freaky in their hands routine, with slight hint of mentalism and psychic powers?

For the second option try some of Roy Waltons work, complete walton Vol. !, a trick called its a set-up.

It freaked me out when I was practising...

Reading: Walton Vol 1, ECT and MCM DVD
Practising: ECT, "Its a set-up", "the smiley Mule"

I get a good reaction from a fairly simple selection effect. You have a "prediction" card on the table with a different colour back to the deck you're using. Then they select and sign a card on the face. A little patter and then you reveal that the odd-backed prediction card is in fact the one they signed. I don't know where it's taught other than the Army of 52 DVD (although far be it from me to recommend that product).

Still, it's incredibly strong.

I just got mindblaster from the james brown site £12.50 I think it's a pdf but theres some seriously good stuff on there. For instance ungaffed entourage the gordon bean effect, stephen tuckers ACAARN one word brilliant, theres an effect from our own Todd Landman but I haven't got that far yet, Marc paul, John archer, Wayne dobson,Mark elsden, David britton,James brown the list just literally goes on, in all 195 page pdf and about 60 effects. Excellend stuff on there so far, it's more aimed for mind reading but theres plenty of card effects on there with aload of other stuff.
