I am so sorry

Phillip,

I wrote my last response awfully quickly. Re-reading your initial comment about wanting to see Mendoza's early routine makes crystal clear sense.

I am a doddering old fool, with little tact. I have several friends, here in the states, who are far more conversant with Mendoza's work, than me.

I will attempt to run Mendoza himself down. I'd like to see the routine you're talking about as well.

I worked it up once, a thousand years ago. I decided quickly that I couldn't lap my way out of a paper bag and abandoned the routine. I noticed Mendoza glancing in his lap, in the post I put up. Bad form. He's is a talented and charming performer. I don't think they get many takes in the DVD world . . .

Again, sorry lad!

As recompense, if you haven't seen this:

Take a look at the Cups and Balls from Madrid.

No offense taken! But thanks for your very gracious reply. I also tend to post quite quickly and probably didn't make myself clear enough initially.

The last time I properly performed the Mendoza routine (which is probably 15 years ago now) I did get a wonderful reaction from it. But I just haven't had the time to re-learn it recently.

Thanks for the link too - that was a very nice and different routine.

Phillip,

I am also a big fan of Mendoza's cups and balls stuff. If you get it worked up again, shoot us all some video!

This is one of your local talents doing the trick better than any Yank.
