Hi Guys,

I was wondering what are the worst magic purchases you've made (Tricks, books dvd's etc) and for what reasons?

I regret none of my magic purchases come to think of it.

They were good at the time I bought them and It expanded my magical knowledge so I'm happy with them.

If you mean disappointing items, than the revolution coin vanish.

I'd have to say my "worst" purchase (although Ian makes a good point that worst can mean so many different things in this context) was the coin-in-bottle effect, Factory Sealed.

I am not exaggerating in the slightest way when I say that a two minute video could explain how to do this trick - and even in detail! - yet they put out a whole hour long DVD with flashy graphics and raked in the cash. And I fell for it.

Yeah, maybe I should have clarified. I don't mean in terms of knowledge and 'I won't do that again' I mean, Oh Hell Why did I spend so much money on this when its S***

Hey Queenie, I know what you mean with factory sealed. I know the method and would be totally peed off if I spent that money on it.

Calling Card for me, the gimmick was just blatently obvious to me, it was just the worst £15 I think it was in my magical purchases, Ended up using the the gimmick for something else I made up so overall it wern't that bad even thoe I could have got the gimmick for about 30p but hey that's magic.

There have been lots of worst purchases - too many to mention

The most recent has been the Jeff McBride DVD called Magic at the Edge. Not at all what I anticipated.

I just can't get away from how bad it was.

I might give it away as an Xmas pressie to someone that I don't like

A word of warning to anyone receiving Xmas presents from you.
He doesn't like you.

I bought a Bicycle Tiger Deck cause i liked the look of them, and although they're fine and all, I guess i kind of expected a little more for that extra cash.

Luckily, I can say that's my biggest disappointment to date - not much really. :)
