Just wondering (doing a lot of wondering this evening) if anyone buys rubber bands from anywhere in particular that they find durable or just the right size or whatever for CMH etc? I'm considering going to Staples or wherever and buying a box full of rubber bands, and was wondering if anyone has any recommendations on which type to get...

Where do you get the rubber from for pena coin?

I bought a bag of assorted rubber bands from a pound shop and there were several hundred varied sizes, colours and thicknesses. However, I'm told that, for things like Crazy Man's Handcuffs, Pinnacle etc, the genuine No 19 rubber bands from the US of A (or from Russ Niedzwiecki’s web site: http://www.magicbuzz.net/) are the dog's danglies of rubber bands.

I’m sure there were some suggestions yonks ago about the rubber for Pena Coin- it’s Dental Dam and you can use the rubber from a condom as well. (‘Something for the weekend, Sir?’) I’m sure there will be other suggestions in due course!

Condoms are usually lubricated and as such don't work for a coin penetration. Dental Dams are exactly the same as the Penna Coin rubber and are sold by the same online stores that sell condoms.

If you take your time though you can get the lubricant off the condom though

Dunno about anyone else, but I certainly haven't seen a condom that's wide enough to put over a pint glass... but then again, I don't use pond-liner size.

They're in most Chemist's shops - usually marked 'Small'.

A condom will work but is not as durable as dental dam.

Another source is surgical rubber gloves.
