If it is a technical issue, then why are they still accepting orders on their website? If they had problems, you'd think they would temporarily prevent customers from paying them until the issues had been resolved and they were actually in a position to email the goods out.

In any case, it should not take two months for any reputable internet-based business to fix any technical issues that may be present. And my emails have not bounced, so I know they have received them. This whole thing just stinks to high heaven to me.

I don't like the fact that there is no phone number on the site. That should always be provided especially if the contact mailing address is a box number.

There is a mentalism forum that I belong to. At one time both Enrique and Loren used to post there although I haven't seen either of them lately. I will put a post on there regarding this matter and see what happens.

I just posted this on the other forum. The heading of the thread was "Is Enrique or Loren still here?" Let us see what happens:

"I remember that these two gentlemen used to post here. If they are still around I thought I should draw their attention to the fact that there is a gentleman in England who is in great torment because he hasn't received a product of some sort.

He is explaining his torment on a UK magic group and I think this may not be good for either of their businesses. No doubt there is some perfectly good explanation for the delay of several months and I am not condemning, only informing them so that they can attend to the matter.

After all the poor fellow in England is in such a state of great lamentation that I think he needs to be put out of his misery.

Here is the link to the thread in question. I have no idea if you have to log in or register to see it.

I appreciate that, Mark. Thank you. And you do have a way with words, don't you? I don't often get referred to as a "gentleman". Your post did make me chuckle.

(By the way, you appear to have linked to this thread and not your one).

I think that is the link he posted in that forum.

You live in Herfordshire so I am obliged to call you a gentleman. Anyone that lives in the south of England can be addressed as such. However once we get up into the wilds of Yorkshire and Lancashire I am afraid that the word would lose some of it's credibility if I were to use it.

I've just had this encouraging reply from Enrique...

Hello Sunny,

Thanks for writing.

I hope you are doing fine. It is very strange that Loren Tindall, my publisher, hasn't send you the link to automatically download your .pdf. I will contact him and let you know.

All the best,

Enrique Enriquez (IM)

I believe he will too. Things are brewing. I get a psychic vibe that you will shortly be getting your book.

This is very odd. Loren is normally extremely good at getting stuff out. The 48 hour thing is the worst case scenario. I've had e-books sent in a matter of hours. The physical items I have ordered from MEV came in a week (or less).

I have not had an e-mail from him in absolutely ages, which makes me think that perhaps he's got some catastrophic IT problems (which would make it impossible for him to alter his site so it couldn't take any further orders). That or some other serious problem, simply because he is normally so very prompt in dealing with orders.

Bob Cassidy is indeed a very different kettle of fish. To be fair, I have had some truly excellent response times from him on certain matters. There were other things ordered that I suspect I will never see!

Loren also publishes Gene Neilsen stuff. Gene has now got wind of this matter through the message I posted and is now in a state of great alarm also. He is looking into it.

So now Craig Browning, Gene Neilsen, Enrique and most illustrious of all Mark Lewis are trying to get you your $10 book. I hope it is worth it in the end.

Gene Neilsen has just heard from Loren Tyndal. Here is what he said

"
"Apparently this guy in England either (a) didn't see the email I sent him within 24 hours of his placing the original order, (b) has some kind of spam filter set up that sent my replies to ALL of his emails to a Spam folder, or (c) doesn't check the email address he used with PayPal to place the order. Or maybe some other technical treachery is going on.

But his order was received and fulfilled within 24 hours, like 99.9% of all Pro Shop orders (despite the "We only fill orders between 9 - 5, Monday - Friday" notice on the website).

If you want to post any/all of the above to the site(s) this guy has been posting about me, feel free."

So there you are

Indeed...I have been in email contact with EE over this last week, so I also would have helped on this front.

Replicant: check your email filters and/or set up a hotmail account and write to Loren again...

Cheers

I hate all this internet stuff. I wrote one e-book and will never do it again convenient for me though it is. However this situation seems to be in sight of a happy ending.

OK, folks. I have just this morning checked my email and see that Enrique has sent me the link to download the e-book, which I have done sucessfully.

With regards to the email spam thing, I check my PayPal email on a daily basis. It's an email address I only use for PayPal and TM correspondence; I don't give it out to all and sundry and for this reason I get very little spam (perhaps a dozen or so messages a day, all of which are checked before deletion, especially if I am awaiting something of importance). I can assure MEV that I did not receive their original email, within 24 hours of placing my order or otherwise, but I am no longer questioning Loren's integrity and can only assume that it was indeed down to some "technical treachery".

This whole scenario has made me out to look like some sort of whinging idiot who doesn't know how to set up his email filters. I am no computer expert but I do know how to do that much at least.

My sincere apologies to Loren, as I have obviously jumped to the wrong conclusions. But in my defence, to date I have still not received any explanation for the complete lack of communication from MEV. I contacted Enrique direct and received the download link within a day, which suggests to me that the technical issues are not at my end but at MEV's.

Regardless of the cause of the problem, I now have the e-book. I don't know why I didn't contact Enrique originally, but there you have it. My thanks go to everyone who has taken the time to chase this for me; I really do appreciate it.
