Just thought id start a little topic about when you realised how far you had got sucked into magic.

The point at which it went from interesting hobby to obsession....

Although i have always taken it seriously, today i realised just how much ive grown over the last six months when in tesco i noticed in the sale section a cute little pencil box, with a full length magnetic fastening.
now six months ago id have brought it cause it was cute, today i brought four because i thought ahhhhhhh i have a use for that magnet lol, and even brought plenty for error and improvements .....

There was a similar thread a while back, but when I actually physically can't shuffle cards. I can only false shuffle and cut. It's like an obsession

Snap! You shouild see my collection of dice cups, interesting boxes, crystals and other stuff which will, one of these fine days, be very useful in making up a magic routine !

Funny you should say about boxes Mr M, working in elderly care gives me a large access to unwanted departed peeps objects, and just snuffled some boxes and pictures, with consent of course ! But they always look nicely aged which saves a task lol..

When watching TV I'm looking for people's hands all the time. "Ooh," I'll say to my wife, "he's got a short temper!"

And when in a pub or restaurant, I'm looking round all the time imagining what it would be like to "work the tables".

Or if I'm driving somewhere and I pass a pub or restaurant, I'll think to myself "I wonder if they'd be interested in having me work there?"

And the really weird thing, I can only listen to music these days that in my mind has some kind of magic link to it. For years my passion was music - from northern soul and jazz through to punk. These days I just can't have it on unless in my warped mind I can somehow work it back to magic. Crackers I know.
