Hello. This seems like an interesting place to discuss... I can't think of many words to say. Here...what's the standard template? Oh, yeah. Here:

Hello. My name is (Fill in name). I've been interested in magic for (Insert random although ridiculously long time-period in here).

LOL! Just kidding. Let me fill it in...

Hello. My name is Brad Christian. Wait, no that's someone else's name... I've been interested in magic for an excess of 3 centuries.

Now onto something useful...

Hi ricecake just giving you a heads up, people on this site might be put of with an outright request for access to the secret area. if you are interested in joining any of the ristrected parts of the site look here: http://www.talkmagic.co.uk/ftopic1448.php

If you looking for a place to tell you how to do tricks i doubt evan the secret area will help you, T.M is not that kind of site.
However if your interested in discussing theroy tecnique or want advice on tricks you obviousy know, we will help you.

Hope ive been helpful and look forward to a reply

anyway welcom to T.M :D

No, I was just joking. As in I'm the kind of person who just joins and outright asks for access. I didn't think people would take it literally, and I knew that this is not an exposure site.
I hate those youtube exposure videos...

Rice,

I am prepared to accept you were joking, but you did not make a good first impression, and people will remember the first impression.

If you are serious about being a member on this forum, look at making ammends or people will close doors on you very quickly :D

I ammend by editing my post.
I didn't think this would be so controversial...
Anyways, no more closed doors for me.
This is awkward

But, someday I will perfect a pass, and someday I can make good first impressions...good thing this doesn't have to many views. Here, let me retry my introduction:

Hi. I wish to socialize here.

There. That works.

Even if it was a joke, aren't jokes supposed to be funny?

Anyways welcome... :?

Barton: Have you read the Bible, Pete?
Pete: Holy Bible?
Barton: Yeah.
Pete: Yeah, I think so. Anyway, I've heard about it.

Hi Rice.

I must agree with Tenko, re-read what he wrote.
Neither introduction was an introduction. You merely told us what you wanted to do.

In an introduction people say a few words about themselves, sometimes age, what country they live in and over here, I guess the most important thing is your state and interests in magic.

Also check this out.

Lives: California, Usa
Status: AH Amateur Hobbiest
Been in magic for 6-8 months now...well, longer, but I've really been in magic for 6-8 months.

I Like italian food... my favorite color is orange... I'd most want 100 decks of cards for my birthday (I burn through them fast)...and I don't want to enjoy the amenities of the sinbin, and I don't intend to (Hey everyone, whats the secret to fallen by Daniel Garcia!!!!????(Yeah, I umm, dislike those noobs))

There. Nice and proper.

i imagined you were joking ricecake so i was just giving you a fair warning and i advice you look through the sin bin for a few good laughs and perhaps an understanding why we get put off from requests for secrets (it happens pretty much every other time).
I could tell in your writing that you were just making jokes but its better to avoid making jokes for awhile or people will think your being flippant.
I am sure you have a genuine interest in developing your knowledge of magic rather than just learn a few easy tricks, and you will find people here who will support you.

Hm, been away a couple days, but I saw your intro before I left and it gave me a good chuckle. I saw it as a light hearted poking of fun at those that tend to join our ranks just after christmas or their birthday month.

Anyway, welcome, we're not usually all so critical - must be the weather or somesuch. Enjoy your stay!
