Ah I will tell you why I will never visit a certian magic shop. The quote in my sig about Farlsy and the reason I was banned for a while from the Magicians only section,,,

It is great fun, Parro is also T-Total and comes along once in a while.

Heck we/you could even start the meeting a coffee shop in the day before moving on to the pub for some other drinks or diet cokes in the case of the drinking people.

The Leeds and Manchester meets are the same, a big mix of the drinkers and none drinkers they usually have a gret time coming back month after month.

The mid week stuff, well that's kinda the unoffical london meets when I'm down in london and there just isn't time to get lashed beyond repair due them happening in the evenings and work for most the next morning.

It's about making mates really and learning a little magic or performing a little not your normal patch so you can work on material

Dude you aint helping matters, Let them drink there starbucks or what ever is the en vogue house of coffee at the moment.

I will have to try to make my way into the big smoke one day for one of these meet ups. Just a shame that the trains are really rubbish from my little area of the world.

I do believe the coal hole serves good grub and coffee as well

I'll be outside sulking then.

The smell of coffee makes me wretch unfortunately

I think that is an excellent idea - but I still maintain (possibly a little biasedly) that the best place for such a meet would be at a magic convention - ooh, for example, just off the top of my head...

Not only would you get to meet, greet, chat and cheat (?) other tm members you would have the dealers, the lectures, the closeup and of course a most extraordinary gala show in the evening to look forward to.

ok - so ipswich may not be as central as London, but it is nevertheless quite accessible and what a day it would be.

It takes a lot to organise these one day conventions you know, and without the support of magicians they will die out - which would be in my opion quite sad indeed. Sadness personified in fact.

So I say unto you (did that sound preachy?) - please come. Not only will you be doing magic a favour - but you will get to all meet me (and everyone else) as well.
