Yes, I do indeed agree with your comments regarding the psychological aspects of the presentation. This is what I love most about Paul's work so this kind of thing is right up my alley, if you'll pardon the expression.

Now go and have a cold shower, you saucy minx.

i agree.....i am a saucy minx ;)

haha. No, i agree with the fact that it is right up (your) alley :D

I'll give it a test run tomorrow, see how it goes. Hopefully it'll come out ok in the end on the spectator and that they enjoy it! Who knows, they may even ask for a repeat performance! If I'm good enough anyways! This is also a prop, in comparison to the other one, that I would feel fairly confident in letting them handle without the secret coming out! Ah well. We'll soon see if the performance ends with both partes feeling satisfied!

(and yes all of the above was on purpose...I tried to make it make sense as well...so no innuendo bingo-ing! just wanted to see if I could manage it! haha!)

I agree that is looks more like a magic prop, but presented in the appropriate manner, it could look like a strange psychological test, or demonstration.

The idea of combining so much in one card is intriguing and I suspect that the principle, which is very old indeed, will 'travel' to other products.

You will need a lot of confidence and strong presentational patter to perform this to great effect.

I think Paul has done a nice job, as in the TRC, to combine so many principles, thoughts, and scripting into one piece of pocket mentalism.

This is exactly how I attempted to present it last night and, I think, I pulled it off successfully. Certainly, there was no heat on the card at the end as my patter put all the emphasis on the power of suggestion and influence. I think it's important to present this kind of effect as an experiment, where the outcome is by no means certain, rather than a magic trick.

Tried this oput more than once today, and actually love it now. Don;t present it as a magic trick. I've been doing it as a "I use this to see how suggestable certain people are" kinda thing. Works a charm!

Mine arrived the following day. However, my Thought Reader Card took nearly two weeks to arrive.

Received this today but not had time to get the scripting rehearsed. Looking forward to more phychology lessons from Mr Brook in due course.

Assuming it was in stock, it should have arived by now. Small Jiffy bag by First Class post, the manual is a PDf file and the link is included with the card. Perhaps an e-mail to Paul to check and chase up might be in order?
