Book of revelations

Does anyone have the book of revelations from the Lebanon Circle Magic Company? If so I'd appreciate a review.

When I read the title of your post I was going to say, "Well, it's a bit heavy going, a bit trippy in parts, and to be honest it doesn't end well."

But then I realised that's not the Book of Revelations you're talking about. As an aside, I remember freaking myself out as a kid after watching some horror flick that mentioned Revelations. I found out an old bible and discovered that Revelations was really in the bible. Then I read it and got all scared but in an excited kind of way. Like the time I looked in the Yellow Pages and discovered that there were real private detectives out there - not just in the movies. Ah, memories.

Anyway, is this the rising card book? If so, I have it and can review but not for a while. I'm bust preparing for a performance in a week's time. I shouldn't even be here now, but hey, what ya gonna do?

It is the rising card from book that I was after a review of. I like the idea of having it rising from the book rather than a deck. It seems like a nicer way of doing it.

I have this effect and like it very much. You can use any card, tarot card, or 'spirit message' with it. Dead easy to use and looks fabulous. You get a real book with all the gubbins to perform it.

I bought it in the end. It's nice. The mechanism could be a bit smoother, but that'll improve with more practice. It allows you to do two cards. One out the top and one out the edge. I think I'm only going to do it with the one card out the top as the one at the side comes out a bit close to the bottom. It doesn't look quite right to me. One card rising seems enough anyway.

Anyway good idea, although I may try making my own at some point just to get it exactly how I want. Doubt I'll use the second routine it comes with, but it has plenty of possibilities for making your own storyline.

Book of Revelation actually. *sniff*

I've played with it a bit and had fun using it when friends come over to visit but it simply don't fit "me" as a performer. I stress that point in that I'm confident someone else could make it look rather miraculous.

I do prefer using a Tarot card vs. a playing card. Dan also offers a version using his FROM HELL photos that works quite well when it comes to themes. I'm personally surprised Dr. Tod hasn't adapted this to his Witch Hunter's book

Version three of from hell won't work with it. Just the previous versions done on playing cards. I agree with you Craig, this isn't one thats going to fit many peoples performances. As I'm moving more of my tricks round to more historical based performances to take advantage of my degree this one will fit in nicely as theres plenty of room to work out a plot.
