Slydini books

Postby greedoniz » Sep 25th, '08, 10:51

I am pondering on getting some material by Slydini as I'm a big fan of his sort of magic but am not sure which is considered as the best of his work.

As far as I can tell the front runners are:

Annotated magic of Slydini - book
The Best of Slydini by Fulves - Book
As I recall - dvd

I am particularly interested in his effect "the Helicoptor card"

Anyone?

Ive got the original Ganson book. You can get to grips with it after watching Slydini perform the effect, ( Its on youtube)The annotated slydini does go into more details.

However, the fulves 2 book set does have far more information.

( magic books by post did have it on special offer a while ago.. 40 quid i think)

Drop Michael Vincent an message, he was personal student of Slydini and probably knows more about his work than most!

The fulves book, That is the double? One book pictures and the other is method. That is the book to get in my not so humble opinion.

Helecopter card trick is one of the best effects I have ever seen. It is not easy and for me requires a lot of nerve. Not many people attempt it. Romain otherwise known as 'The Monarch Of Manipulation' and was a student of Slydini is really the only person I've ever seen perform the effect and he does it masterfully.

I practice it regularly and don't perform it often as I'm a little afraid of it.

Again just about my favourite card effect of all time. Well worth learning have fun with it.
