Hey dude,

I'm a big fan of the Stealth Wallet, put out by Peter Nardi at Alakazam... It's small, very simple and clever in operation and magnetically locks, so it can be handled very freely. Also, they're only about £25 if memory serves.

Cheers,

Liam.

My vote is also for the stealth, although if you wish to do more than just peek then I would suggest the mindspy. I actually prefer the smaller format of the stealth though...

Purely for peeks, I'd say "Stealth" too.

Mindspy is good, but quite big, whereas Stealth is compact. In fact, I use mine to hold business cards, so it doesn't even look odd that I have another wallet for everything else.

Best Peek Wallet

Postby roman59 » Oct 5th, '04, 20:53

For me its the Mindspy!

Been using one for a good 2 1/2 years now & have been peeking literally right under the punters noses.

Great product & no mechanical devices to worry about going wrong.

Cheers

to be honest it doesnt really matter what wallet your using..... it depends more on HOW you use it... if you use it as a "hey look at this and i bet you cant work out how its done" type thing then to be blunt, they all suck... most can be worked out... the trick is to fool the people into thinking its not one of those and its bordering on "real" mind/muscle reading... the performance is worth FAR more than the wallet.. think on it

I recently saw what I think was one of these being put to use on 'Playing Tricks' on Trouble TV (Cable). Like 'the_mog' says, the magician focussed on the routine and not the wallet which made the whole effect look pretty cool. It certainly fooled everyone in the show but then you never know how much ended up on the cutting room floor.

Anyway, the routine used a post-it pad inside of a wallet and the spec wrote down the name of their first love and an object that they associated with that person. The wallet was closed, handed over and wrapped in a rubber band before the two pieces of info were exposed.

Now, I liked this and not having used any wallets before, which would you recommend for this type of routine?

I prefer thought transmitter to the stealth though there is a wallet that is cheaper and better imho but for the life of me i can't remember it's name. I'll try and find out.

One of the advantages of the Stealth over Mind Spy is the price. £25 compared to £49.50 from Cards4magic.

I've not used or even seen (at least, I don't think I have  ) the Mind Spy but going on the price difference, I would assume that you'd be getting something nearly twice as good. However, for now I'll stick with the Stealth - £50 for a wallet would be hard to explain to the missus :)

Sounds like 'Thought Transmitter' by John Cornelius - a great utility which can be used in conjunction with many other effects.

That is almost certainly a 'Thought Transmitter' by John Cornelius.

It's a great peek device, but there are a couple of things in the workings of it that mean it's not perfect. It's very good, though.

I like the Stealth wallet too. The size is the key factor for me, plus MindSpy has particular pads, whereas Stealth works with ordinary business cards.

Ok here is the wallet I had forgotten.

It's £20 and I think better than the stealth and also smaller.
