Hi D74

Sounds like you had a blast!

As long as you enjoyed yourself and more importantly the children enjoyed their selves then you you did a great job!

Those kids will remember that magic show for the rest of their lives! Who knows you may have even ignited a love for magic in some of them :D

You should be proud of yourself for actually having the bottle to get up and do it.
I also feel sorry for you that you felt you couldn't let us know before hand!

I'm well pleased for you! Well done mate!

lol, thanks. Dont feel sorry for me, I was nervous as it was, but seeing all the hassles this guy went thru...http://www.talkmagic.co.uk/ftopic26222-0.php...and I know I wasnt tasking up to his efforts, but I did read EVERYTHING here...(or pretty close to it...)

The week beforehand, anyone who came by had to sit thru a trick, and my baby girl was so sick of practising B in a Box, that at Show Time, she crawled out, and kept going, right through the crowd till she reached the back fence! much laughter ensued!

LOL :D

As I said before mate, as long as you and the children enjoyed it, then you can be proud of yourself. Keep up the good work!

arrr me lado sounds like you did a grand job and earned your pieces of eight, well done.
you shouldn't compare your show to that other one because with that one we were concerned he was trying to do stunts and tricks that require lots of preperation and that he was going to do it in a public forum and charge for the privilage.
the main concern is if you crash and burn then you effectivly end your carrer and any other magician that follows him, besides the obviose health and safty issues, completly diferent to your show which you have obviosely been tinkering for a wile before you organised it and a special gold star shaped dobloon for involving your kids in the show.

All i can say mate is WOW - my two little ones just shouted when they saw your pic "captain featherswords a magician"

Now if ya ask me - i think that is quite a nice compliment lol.

And i like the fact you have used a charecter type thingy, whoohoo hoo lol. ( for those not familiar with the tastes of the average three year old it was an impression of Captain lol)

Anyways well done - shame your not in the uk - it seems you might have had a booking lol.

Wow! That sounds a wonderful party indeed! I can imagine how lucky the kids were with all of those cool props you've used. You're like a one man magic shop :)

Kudos to the hard work that obviously paid off :)

BTW...That pink feather is fantastic!

Thanks for all your words of encouragement, much appreciated.
I have been asked already by friends of people who were there, and also have an encore performance in a couple of weeks for a family of 4 kids who couldnt come due to the chicken pox.
After that, who knows, maybe just the God-children can have a Captain show.
It is tempting for a few extra bills on the side though...

Id put the film up on youtube, but dont want a Wiggly letter from the Wiggles Wiggly Lawyers.
