ouch........heheh......

Guess that's what happens when you set unrealistic expectations by "performing" tricks to a camera that can't actually be performed.

Sounds like the Cirque element was up to par but not the featured artist. I guess that's the kink which needs to be ironed out - perhaps as far as Death Valley :D ?

That was a very underrated trick - "make the audience disappear"! Few entertainers have the courage to try it

Sounds just like another certain US celebrity performer who turned his back on Magic to hang upside down for three days. Once they leave the magic behind they aren't very entertaining. There's a lesson in there somewhere and not too deeply buried either....

Yea... but Blaine still draws a crowd and delivers a surprise or two here and there... and he actually does good within the community vs. spending money in telling everyone how wonderful he is.

I would also argue that the magic David Blaine does is far more impressive than the movie-magic Angel presents/"performs".

Say what you will about the character he portrays, Blaine can draw a crowd and deliver magic.

Ah, poor Criss Angel... He tries to hard...

Barton: Have you read the Bible, Pete?
Pete: Holy Bible?
Barton: Yeah.
Pete: Yeah, I think so. Anyway, I've heard about it.
