Should I buy Crash Course 2 or Daryls DVD on ambitious card?

Postby ricecake9 » Oct 4th, '08, 23:45

Yes...I'm undecided. Lol.

Should I buy Daryl's ambitious card Dvd or Crash course 2 from ellusionist? Even if you only have one, I'd appreciate input. I want to add an ambitious card to my repitoire. Oh, and I don't really want Sankey's....

And I have a mild form of c.u.p.s. so I can only afford one.

The Dellimas (spelling?) magicians face...

I'm sorry if I'm being vague with my circumstances. Which I am.

Personally, I wouldn't go for either of them but from the two the better one is Daryl's ACR.

CC2 as with most of E's DVD's is over hyped.

Daryls by a mile.

Why wouldn't you suggest one?

I read up more on ellusionist, and I have to agree with you. If I do get one, it'll be Daryl's.

Of course, I may just take note of the "personally" you typed in :P

I think that there are better ACR routines out there than Daryl's. Isn't his the one that comes with a gimmicked deck that's tied with ribbons? If so then I've had this and didn't like it.

One of the very few Ellusionist DVD's that I've been impressed with is their Ambitioux Card DVD as it acts as a very good reference source and the teaching is quite good too. There's plenty of content to keep you going for a long time and it credits the creators (in most places anyway).

You could learn the content and then create something that's unique to you by picking from the sleights that are taught. Has to be better than Crash Course 2.

Am I missing something? I thought Crash Course 2 is the Ambitious Card DVD?

DAMN - you're right    (a quick check of their web site)

I was thinking of their Ninja 1 and 2

As said, crash course II is indeed the ambitioux card DVD and as said above  , I think this is one of the better DVD's from E.

Go with the ambitious card routine. I own CC2, and unless you just started in magic, it won't be of much use.

Barton: Have you read the Bible, Pete?
Pete: Holy Bible?
Barton: Yeah.
Pete: Yeah, I think so. Anyway, I've heard about it.

The good thing with Daryls, and maybe the other, but I havent seen it, is that it teaches you so many moves. Not just his excellent routine, but tonnes of moves. You could make an incredible routine, just from the extras! I got mine on VHS from International Magic. £5 well spend. I would have paid a lot more though. The content is superb.

After much personal debating, I'm going with Daryl's 8)

I have both, and I can easily say that CC2 has teachings that can be used not only in Crash Course, where as I feel d's is more toward just the ACR.

I'm met Daryl in person a couple times, and it's a great preformance all together, but it's mostly for ACR, instead of all around card preformance.

So I guess I disagree with the person above, but in all seriousness their both great!

So my vote goes to.... CC2

Surely, if he is looking for a dvd on THE AMBITIOUS CARD ROUTINE, this is more advantageous. If he was looking for a general card magic dvd there are a lot better than both. He was looking for an ACR routine dvd, so I presume he is looking to perform an ACR. Daryl's having the better material.
