A Triumph performed by Sadowitz

Postby Lenoir » Oct 6th, '08, 16:29

A lot of my posts and PM's seemed to have mentioned Sadowitz recently...I hope I'm not becoming obsessed. Actually, the man is a genius, an obsession would be normal!

I was in International Magic about a month or 2 ago and performed Daryl's Double Dazzling Triumph to Jerry and Marco. They'd both seen it before, but none the less, they were positive.

Jerry went on to show me a version of Triumph I have never seen before. Maybe due to a lack of Triumph knowledge, maybe not.

I am NOT looking for anyone to expose this here, so slow down there.

I shall briefly describe the way it was performed and if anybody knows its origin or somewhere I can PAY to learn this, or read about it, I would be most grateful.

He riffled through the pack, spectator peek style, and I told him where to stop and he closed up the pack.

He then cut off about 7-8 cards from the top, turned them face up and dropped them down. Another 7-8 cards dropped on top but this time face down and continued in this manor until the deck was exhausted. They were always small packets and no single card was left behind!

I then squared it up and passed it to him. A click of the fingers and the whole pack was face down. All except for, of course, my peeked card.

We had a short chat about it and he agreed it was a very open method of the triumph routine, no dodgy looking shuffling etc. I didnt ask him if it was his, or where I could read up about it and haven't seen him since!

Cheers!
