Worst Ringtone??

Postby flashman » Oct 8th, '08, 21:54

So who's got the best/worst mobile phone ringtone here on talkmagic? What is it and what does it say about you?

For my sins I have the theme from The Sale Of The Century ('live from Norwich, it's the quiz of the week', da ra ra, ra ra ra... etc...). I alternate this with the theme from It's a Knockout and Dirty Harry saying "I know what you're thinking... did I fire 6 shots or only 5??

Now what this reveals of my inner psyche I have no idea.... except that in ring tones, as in life, I like it cheesy!

I don't have a cellphone. I don't want to turn insane when the pulse goes off.

Barton: Have you read the Bible, Pete?
Pete: Holy Bible?
Barton: Yeah.
Pete: Yeah, I think so. Anyway, I've heard about it.

Don't know what it says about me, but my ringtone is the Halloween theme tune. When I get bored, I will change it back to the Exorcist theme tune.

I have the theme from Street Hawk as my ring tone and the phone sound from 24 as my SMS alert.

As an aside, did you know that the default Nokia tone is morse code for SMS?

What I'd really like is Richard Burton saying "Broadsword Calling Danny Boy", from Where Eagles Dare.... my hunt continues!

I had one of myself saying (as deadpan as possible)
"Ring Ring...... Ring Ring.... Ring (Bleeding) Ring...."
for a good 30 seconds getting bored throughout. Some workmates have a copy, whilst I have reverted back to the default ringtone.

Mine is the sound of an old-fashioned phone ringing. It turns out I don't associate anything else with a telephone. I hear a snatch of music and never think it might be someone trying to contact me.

Of course, it doesn't help that I've only been phoned on my mobile about twice ever.

Never really understood the difference between a fiddle and a violin?? If you have a straggly beard and wear a hankerchief round your neck does that make it a fiddle??

There's not really any difference between a fiddle and a violin, they're the same instrument it's more the style that they're played in. Although some fiddle players do flatten the bridge so they can play a double string easier.

Mine's really radical. There's no multimedia extravaganza involved. It simply chirrups the default electronic ring-ring incoming call tone. If I get a text, it goes beep beep.

You should be ashamed of yourself Tomo.... The whole point of a ringtone is to annoy the bejeezus out of everyone in the immediate vicinity. If you get someone to actually tut or roll their eyes you get bonus points.
