I just posted a link in that thread in response to your "Denver the dinosaur".

I think the old fogies on here will talk of programs which far surpass my years.

But i know most of the ones you mentioned. Classic. Being a kid was great.

I always liked "Minder".

I have never heard of Automan!
Manimal was cool though!

I reckon that if we can find a link to the tv show, we've definately got to put it in to 'educate' our younger members of what TV was really about! :D

Gary Halliday

In the lateish 1950s, I had to go to bed at around 5-30 and this regular program about a brave airline pilot (played by Terence Longdon) and his co-pilot (Terence Alexander, later the father -in-law in Bergerac) always bugged me because it started at 5-25 and I never saw the end unless I really played up. We only had BBC (1) in those days.

Odd about being old, you remember things that others do not even seem to know about

1. Rolf Harris's first arrival on British television was via a bearded cartoon character which he drew called Willoughby

2. Everyone knows that Wendy Richard (of Eastenders. I wish her all the best with her latest cancer) was the dollybird Miss Brahms in Are you Being Served. Before then though, she was the teenage daughter in the sitcom The Newcomers, which was a regular thing for a while.

Hum Ho! off to chew some soft bread .....

Although I'm still young I miss "Thundercats" :(

Barton: Have you read the Bible, Pete?
Pete: Holy Bible?
Barton: Yeah.
Pete: Yeah, I think so. Anyway, I've heard about it.

I liked thundercats as well, I saw a episode of spider-man and his amazing friends when I was very young and it was about a mad scientist who created a potion to mimic spider-mans powers except it turned him into a giant half man half spider and I would give anything to see it again I think it started my phobia/fascination with huge spiders especially if they're half man

That's because you're a mere sproglet, not an old-timer like me.

Yeah, that was brilliant. I used to fancy the girl with the invisibility cloak (I had a sheltered childhood, me). Did they ever find their way back home?
