Well I was either looking for color changing contact/poi ball or a flaming one...the color changing might be safer and have a sort of Dlite/Zombiue effect wer I can take the color from the glowing orb and throw it about....any suggestions?

Im reasonably sure that what your after, doesnt exist.
you should be able to track down a ball that splits into 2 fire bowls, but not one that is set aflame.

the cloth would singe, you would singe, and every smoke alarm would go off.

and the gimmick would get hot too.

as to an electronic light up ball, thats possible. But it will be very expensive.

Did the DVD come from E or Penguin by any chance?

Seriously though... there used to be a Zombie that you broke open at the end, giving you two fire pots but if an actual piece exists that is Zombie like and involving fire, it would have to be a personal prop and too, I can't imagine any night club, theater or home owner that would let you perform it within their facility... for that matter, I can't visualize how one would work such an item without setting yourself on fire.

Yes, there are floating balls of fire. Again, they are not common because of fire codes and public safety issues.

I think you may want to look towards simple and practical. Besides, the Zombie is pretty enough when done right, you don't need all that extra junk around it.

If you're into all that flouncy poi stuff look up "fire orbs" (as they're refered to on a few sites), they can be quite nice; not really like in a zombie way, but nice.

I know mathmos do a rubber feel glow orb in blue, green or red ......
The feel of them is nicer than a glow changing poi ball, which is quite hard in texture ......

if ya after a fancy piece, how about fire breathing through fire poi??
