Try searching for Masked Magician - dozens of threads about Val and those Fox programms, plus the new ones in the pipeline

No need to worry unduly, it'll create a small fuss for a while then, after a few months, the only ones who'll remember will be magicians and even then only the broad outline rather than the detail. Lay people, assuming they bother to watch, won't remember much. I wonder how many could actually recall what was exposed on the first MM shows - apart from those nice dancing girls, of course - I have no problem remembering them :D ! For a while professional magicians may have to take an effect our of their act or dress it up differently but within a few months it can all go back.

I actually find it quite funny. This man began his career going to schools and revealing tricks to school children, before starting his career as 'the masked magician. Then when he unmasked himself he said he was now going to start making and performing his own illusions as a regular magician, no one heres about him for years, he is forgotten about, and now returns to reveal tricks again.

He might as well renew his mantle of masked magician because I doubt any layperson remembers his name.

The masked magician 'greatest secret' is that he is sh*te at magic..

Invoke not reason. In the end it is too small a deity.

I've only seen a couple of the Masked Magician episodes and, with almost every trick, the solution seemed to be "identical twins!" I found it so amusing that I now tell people that's how i do my card tricks.

I think that's pretty much 90% of what will be remembered from this series, based on what I've seen so far. ;)

For those who didn't get to see it, what effects were 'revealed'? I know sometimes the methods are fake ones, but that makes little difference to the 'smart' spectator.

Of course if we all raise our game, do things in a completely different way, etc. no one will question it, but it might be useful for people to know what's been shown in the new show.

Wow this is great patter for a sucker trick.

Act like you're the masked magician, reveal fake method for so and so, then use true method that's impossible with fake method.

In the beginning, act like you're on one of these shows.

Of, course, you all know what sucker tricks are, but this adds good patter
