After viewing the demo I ordered this yesterday & it arrived today. Great service.
The trick is very simple, with no sleight involved, you simple get your punter to select any card & place it on the top. You then cut the pack once.
Of course if your a proficiant card handler you can allow the card to be scattered into the deck, then bring it to the bottom.

Roate the deck & the card rises automatically. I just did this on a couple of friends & it recieved the wow factor!

You can also place the deck in a glass, on the spectators hands but the speed of the rise can be too sudden & putting a gimmick in a spectators hand is just asking for trub!

Overall
The gimmick is somewhat flimsy, & I can see in the near future that I will have to repair it which other than fiddly shouldn't be too hard.

The initial "stick" is pretty useless & provides a very hit & miss affair. I found adding a bit of double sided & then making it less strong (rubbing sweat in) provided a much improved 100% hit rate.

It is however a great idea & when performed well give a good reaction.

Another cool feature is that you can have more than one card selected, then you simple follow the trick, peeling of each risen card & ready for the next card to rise.

8/10 (Would have been 9 but for the future repairs that will be required)

Nice review! Rising Deck is an oldie but goodie and you seem to have spotted the slight drawbacks plus the ways to get round them. Mainenence/repair is easy enough and using DST for the 'stick' is one way of doing it. You could also use Changin' Glue from craft shops which is like post it note glue, once dry, it will let you stick stuff on and peel it off again easily.
