Hi, I first bought a plastic, one piece from Fukai at Blackpool 5 or 6 years ago. It was great, lasted ages & was perfectly balanced. I lost it in a hire car & decided to get a Mikame Wooden two piece one. It is off balance & the thread cut into the soft wood & snapped. It did look nice but was unusable.
I now have a replacement one from Fukai at last year's Blackpool & bought extra threads at the same time. He does silver ones & I think black, both one piece & both plastic. If you go for a metal one the thread will be have to be thicker & as a two piece packs nicely away, a one piece will be better balanced.
There are (although I have never tried them) dancing pool cues & golf clubs available at some places which might play on the comedy side but maybe not as elegant.
Actually, why not make a bid for my wooden Mikame one I paid £90 for it.
