Magic Doodle Pen

Postby LambertClan2006 » Sep 30th, '08, 14:26

Does anyone have this. It looks pretty sweet, but something tells me its not what it appears to be.

If anyone has it, could you post a review.

All I can find is the info posted on the sites that are selling it. But I would like to see a review before I make my decision.

Picking through the anti penguin posts, it looks like this could be a bit of a turkey.
what i want to know is, where can i buy the pen ?
It must be available elsewhere, like the frixion biro.

also, i suspect that its heat that sets it off, rather than moisture.

Loved this (from the first post on the penguin link):

The instruction booklet is no perfect. Lots of spelling and grammatical errors.

 I was just about to say something about that.

Barton: Have you read the Bible, Pete?
Pete: Holy Bible?
Barton: Yeah.
Pete: Yeah, I think so. Anyway, I've heard about it.

From the penguin thread linked above:
On a scale of 1-10, I rate the whole thing a 2. And I only went this high because I'll be able to find SOME use for it somewhere. Go with T11's eXhile and be done with it.

Which I think is Theory 11's eXile by Mathieu Bich, available for preorder here: http://www.mjmmagic.com/store/exile-by- ... -6794.html . According to the link this version is the one used by Blaine in his latest special.

Theory 11 is sold out: http://theory11.com/tricks/exile.php
But it looks like Hank Lee might have some left: http://www.hanklee.org/xcart/product.ph ... 059057b3ee

this doesnt read like the magic doodle pen thing. In fact , id go so far as to say that the doodle pen sounds like a rip off of Bich's effect to me.

To me the image in the penguin review makes it seem that this was a novelty or joke pen from Japan/China that someone realized could be used to, as dale said, rip off Bich's effect.
