Struggling with an effect? Any tips (without giving too much away!) you'd like to share?

Another trick with a Svengali deck is a sort of ambitious card routine.

Riffle the deck to show the spectators that the cards are all different and make saure that you have one of the Svengali (repeated) cards showing on the face.

Then, using a one handed swing cut, cut the deck approximately half way and bring the back half to the front. The face will now show a different (regular) card. Click your finger and the top, face down card will be one of the svengali cards when you turn it over.

Place this on the bottom (face) of the deck and show the card face, then do another swivel cut approximately half way through the deck. Bring this half to the front and the face will now show a different, different card, if you see what I mean.

The specator should believe that the Svengali (repeated) card is in the middle of the deck now but another click of the fingers will reveal it back on the top, face down.

Place this on the bottom of the deck and show the face and continue as above.

Work out your own banter, story etc. to go with it. This is hopefully a good one for someone who's starting out and doesn't know any skilled handlings or a 'real' ambitious card routine. I would do no more than 4 appearances of the ambitious card with this deck otherwise the specators, may catch on.

Only a thought!
