I've been hypnotised on stage and there really was something in it. My memory of it is kind of like remembering a dream, quite fuzzy. But I can remember really believing I was sitting in the middle of the arctic or riding a horse in the grand national. It's quite strange and really scarey to look think back on.

I also think that there's something in hypnotherapy, a good friend of mine used to be a very heavy smoker. She tried all sorts of different things, nothing worked until she saw a hypnotherapist. Even since walking out of that place, she's not even wanted a cigarette.

I agree that hypnotherapy works. However that is a load of old baloney too.
I am always amused that when hypnotherapists get loads of patients who say " I don't think I was hypnotised" they come up will all sorts of high falutin' reasons to the client why they don't think they went under.

They always neglect to tell them the real reason. They didn't think they were hypnotised because they weren't!

I agree that "hypnosis" works in hypnotherapy. I have helped many people to stop smoking. "Hypnosis" is a boon to mankind. It is still a load of cobblers though.
