Urgent(ish)- Derren's First Stage Show

Postby Lenoir » Nov 9th, '08, 14:01

Hello there,
Derren's second stage show was Something Wicked This Way Comes and An Evening of Wonders was the third!

What was the name of the very first stage show? Is it available to buy? I remember it being on TV a long while back, but can't locate it anywhere!

EDIT: I know now it was called the Gathering! Available to buy anywhere?

Thanks in advance,
Ruairidh

HaHa. Funny, cause I was thinking the exact same thing last night. Watched a short video clip from it. Anyhow, I myslef was unable to find available for purchase. I assumed it was just for TV. Sorry.

Edit: I was going to put this somewhere else, but now that you've made a post about it...

I just love this clip from the gathering. Gotta love that bit.
Maybe some people would consider it rude. I just can't get over it...

DOUBLE EDIT: I'm reffering to the very begginning.

The only place I can find to buy the gathering is on iTunes for £1.89 and you would have to watch it on your computer or on your iPod.

iTunes Store Link

You can also watch it free on 4oD.

It was not called 'The Gathering'; that was the name given to a particular performance recorded for TV. It was largely based on the first half of the first tour (the second half was séance-themed and there wasn't a lot of point in recording it after DB had done a separate TV special on the same topic). I'm fairly sure that the first tour was not given a specific title.

I was reffering to what appeared to be a Uri Gellar imitation at the beginning.

Yes, yes. This is what I originally was thinking, its just that I assumed by the post that he was right. I now recall derren in behind the scenes footage of SWTWC, saying that the first tour he did was called "Derren Brown Live." Yes, this all makes sense now.
