Bag To Cook's Jacket and Cap

Postby taneous » Sep 28th, '04, 15:08

I also just bought this. Anyone have it/use it?

Bag To Cook's Jacket and Cap

A small black bag is shown to be empty inside and out. It can be used as a change bag; or you can use it to hold some of your smaller props such as silks, etc. Suddenly, you produce from the bag a small hat for your young assistant to wear! How cute! But, that's not all! In a flash, the bag itself changes into a colorful costume which you put on the kid! There's never been anything like it! And, there's more! All of the costumes have a pocket on one side that can be used as a changing device (for silks, ropes, etc.). Clever, no? The entertainment and fun value of these Costume Bags is really high! Of course, you could use more than one in a show. Each time you do it, it's funnier than the last! A great continuity gag! These are very well made. The Costume Bags come in several different styles.

What are the prices on this and where did you purchase this from? I like the sound of it and would like to look into picking it up. Also, when you decide to use it, I'd be interested to hear what kind of reactions you get when using the prop in a routine...

I bought it from Hank Lee's Magic Factory for $38
http://www.hanklee.org/xcart/customer/product.php?productid=2485 (my new favourite online shop)
I figured it'll pay for itself in one show - although I've ben justifying a lot of things that way lately - I need to do quite a few shows now

I'll definitely give it a review once I get it. I'm thinking I'll use it either with my dove pan routine, or with my hat routine once i get that together. I'll pretend the bag's a hat and try and get the kid assistant to wear it, and when I tip it over an egg falls out. I'll catch the egg and then look inside and find there is a real hat. I'll then pretend to try and get the kid to wear the bag - and then turn it into a jacket and go into the whole baking routine..

I really like this. I tried it out with my daughter and she thought it was great. It's a really nice addition to my dove(cake) pan routine. It's quite well made and come with quite a cool routine. I'll definitely be using some of the gags in the routine in my show. :D

This works well. I used it at a show on friday. I just meant for it to make my dove pan routine look nice, but I got a whole lot of "how'd you do that???"'s when I changed the bag into the chef outfit :)

It's good to hear it worked for you - I guess it will be a regular feature whenever you can include it!
