Cheap imitation of the gecko

Postby bob1234556789 » Nov 15th, '08, 22:20

Are there any cheap imitations of the gecko?
I know there is the raven but is that as good?
Thanks

sorry bob but a kecko is not a raven and a raven is not a keco, yes there similar but they do diferent things in diferent ways.

a raven does one thing well if handled properly, but to be honest if your not comftable with a product that relys on heavy presentation and audience control then stear clear of both product till you are.

I think the Cobra is better than the raven and the gecko. And it's cheaper too!

The Sloth is better than all of those put together. And it's free.

My version of the Raven that I demo'd at the London meet yesterday cost me nearly 50p to make - and it is much quieter, and you don't have to feed it breadcrumbs.

I prefer my specially trained beetle.

Invoke not reason. In the end it is too small a deity.

You can only buy the 'Tortoise' from Mandrake Magic Supplies. No delivery, just sends it to your house. Mine is excellent, but it took four months to get here (which Mandrake assures me is a good time). Just one problem (although it is a small one).... I don't know why it has 'Fred' painted on it's back - almost gave the gimmick away on one occasion.

Is it practical? I like to wear tight fitting turtle neck jumpers: would it restrict my movement if I had it upon my person in a discotheque?

You could put it on the Approved Items For Sale, if you don't want it. I can't find any reviews though. What's the packaging like, would it be quite tough and protect the Tortoise? Gimmick? Is this to do with exposing the Tortoise? Does it need refills like shells?

No, you may have been misled about it's workings, and without giving too much away, there is a strap fitted to the underneath of it, and you wear it on your.............. head, like a helmet, of sorts. The 'Tortoise II' comes with a toupee, but I like the original. You might think that people would see it, but, believe me they never do. I have never had anyone say,"Hey!, what's that on your head?", as I pull the elephant from my pocket. And all to cover a DL get-ready. The lengths we go to.....
