Hi from Madrid

Postby caubeck » Oct 31st, '04, 06:47

Hello,

My name is Chris Aubeck. I am English but have lived in Spain since 1991.

I've been working as a private English teacher for about 13 years but have recently become unemployed, voluntarily, in order to study for a university degree here in Madrid. This gives me some free time, when I'm not studying, especially to do research and experiments with magic devices.

I've often used magic tricks in my lessons and to amuse my girlfriend (who is often stressed with her government job and enjoys the distraction!), but have only recently begun to explore the subject seriously.

After experimenting with the dark forces of Neodymium for a few months I'm now looking for a new set of tricks. My current financial situation allows me to acquire just one quality trick a month, but I already sense that this is more of a blessing than a curse.

So, basically I think I'm a 33:AH, inching towards becoming a 53:SH!

Oh, and in case you're interested: the reason I have joined this forum is (a) that my nightly research usually brings me back here, (b) it is a lot more polite than others I have visited, and (c) here it seems "U reely dont need 2 rite like this dude" to become an accepted member of the group.

Thanks,

Chris

howdy

Computer games don't affect kids; I mean if Pac-Man affected us as kids, we'd all be running around in darkened rooms, munching magic pills and listening to repetitive electronic music. - Kristian Wilson, Nintendo, Inc, 1989..
