Count me in, by the way.

I'll do the same as last time; arrive early-ish but have to be away by 3.30 or thereabouts. My wife is working tomorrow evening and I've already used a babysitting pass for parents' evening on Monday. What a rock 'n' roll lifestyle I truly lead.

Looking forward to picking up some tips again (and creating a new wishlist in the process no doubt).

haha, whoops! :-)
We did miss you... it was a rather boring day without the joy of being chucked out of a bar ;)

Oh what tangled webs of inebriation; that sticky feeling of lingering queasiness due to several drops of alcohol. I woke up slightly swollen and think it could be due to subsequently inhaling the fumes of one too many Flare cigarettes without waiting for that magic fizzle to go down...

It was rather spangly to break my meet cherry last night, thanks people, and putting names to our respective online aliases, it's always great and educational even to see some proper magis in action. I see why Kolm has a coin as an avatar now! It was also quite amusing to watch fellow magis do the sneaky setting up process before going for spectators, it's good to see that I'm not alone in that dirty vice. Throughout the night I was willing myself to remember Stickmen 4, Stickmen 4, Stickmen 4.... Richard Sanders, Sanders - it paid off this morning. Loved the visualness and your patter was pretty smooth too. Also Coinvexed was stunning: previously i'd never even seen a Youtube video of it. For some reason I picture Mike Myers in Wayne's World in that scene where he eyes up that Fender Stratocaster in a music shop and repeats the menacing mantra: "you will be mine... you will be mine". Definitely something to work towards in terms of a magic career. One day... one day...

Glad you liked Stickman 4, love that trick, love most of the stuff on the three Sanders Show dvd's & would hugely recommend them.
However i don't do it regularly so calling it "my" patter might be a bit of a stretch at this point, as you will see if you get the dvd.
Although Sanders uses stickMEN and i use stickDEMONS, in today's magic world thats enough of a variation to justify me releasing a dvd through e-llusionist :)

That's just cynical. Although I was half expecting some kind of animated stickmen popping out of the card and doing a little dance, like Cardtoon. Perhaps in the future, holographic technology could enable this. Now that would truly mess with your mind. Reincardnation, which one of the others did, was also memorable, as well as that "porn" trick. It reminded me of Alien Autopsy by Jim Pace. Might have to do some research into torn and restored effects. Would def be interested in doing a full session next time.

Anyone wish to propose a date for the next one, I realise its usually to suit me as I keep proposing the dates but I don't mind fitting in with everyone else.

20th sounds good. I'm on a jolly boys outing into Manc with some school chums the weekend before and the weekend afterwards will be utter chaos. Apparently, it's a special time of year when office workers get drunk and wear tinsel.

Dunno about tomorrow night, not sure when I'll be back from Leeds. Will send you a text if I'll be around, Rob

I'm out. The weather is disgraceful (I don't take cold very well), and it's my busiest time of year. Flogging myself to get through a big stack of work with a promise of several days off over Christmas.

It's very disconcerting, you know, checking Easter magazines at this time of year.

Although it was even more disconcerting last year when I was doing the Christmas issues around August. One title I work on goes especially Christmassy, with holiday-themed stuff on pretty much every page. So I was stuck into the middle of that, concentrating on Santas and snowmen and nativity plays and such, and for some reason a Christmas movie was on TV as well. Took a break for lunch and I had no idea what month it was. Wondered why I was so hot at Christmastime.

Hot in August? were you in another country :)

December should be a fun meet with xmas around the corner people should be in a good mood and we can drink mulled wine!

People can crash at mine that night if they want to travel down. I can probably have 3 people additional
