Afternoon all. I'm a hobbyist, here for the first time... it's been interesting reading so far!

I've got a couple of £1 coin Eddie Gibson cig through coin gimmicks. Both of them have broken in the same way (I won't go into detail, but the broken part isn't the replaceable part, if you catch my drift!). Any tips on how to mend them? I've tried epoxy resin glue (araldite), but it hasn't worked out...

dont use araldite. it will pack the thing out and it wont work.

go to a hardware shop, get a tin of evo stick cleaner, remove the old glue, then stick it back together with evo stick.

This is exactly how the things are assembled in the first place.
I know this, because way back i bought an ultimate fo*ding coin from peter crush.IT HAD NO GROVE AT ALL!!

( i do miss them great products!!)

Ok my curiosity is peaked...

The way you are describing these things Dale leads me to think it works on a method other than the three I'm familiar with... there's the classic Slydini "no gimmick" method, the Johnson version and I believe it was Sterling here in the U.S. had one that allowed you to show both sides of the coin before and after you do your thing. I can't recall any of them having a reason to come apart though, the Sterling version, like the F-coin, does involve a rubber component that requires replacement every now and then.
