Blurb: A winner of the 2002 Linking Ring Awards for Mentalism from the International Brotherhood of Magicians! You openly display a list of common words. A guest is asked to mentally choose any word and then to create a word in her mind that rhymes with her selection. Without hesitation you name the word she just created in her mind! You may repeat RhymeTime immediately with another guest and reveal a completely different word.

Whether presented as a mind-reading feat or as a prediction of future events, RhymeTime is suitable for intimate close-up performances or within parlor venues. Fully scripted. Self-working.

I say: Well, i've actually ended up getting to know Mick for nearly a year now. He's a great guy. Very creative man, and a good laugh. Anyway - i just bought this from him. Yes! Bought! No freebie for a review type stuff - i have paypal reciepts and everything...

Anyway - i've got to say, this method for the effect is sooooooo clever! Very easy to do, which is great for me. This is a pure presentation piece. And the method/technique is very adaptable with some thought. It's part force, part...i dunno..something else. No psychcological techniques or near-misses with this. 100% works everytime. I got kinda excited when i read it through. Cos you can "jump off" from this effect into book tests, OOTW, and a few others if you apply yer brain.

It's a pocket-mentalism type effect, a one time set up to make what's needed. All you need is a pen and some paper, so i would hope you all have that knocking about. So yes, that means - everything is examinable.

This isn't the be all and end all of mentalism of course, but if you want something dependable, fun, engaging, and unexplainable. And! It's less than a tenner...then i'd recommend this highly. Oooh he's a sneaky devil that lad...

Overall - 8.5/10.

Other thoughts: I've got In Plain Sight too, and thats very good. And a couple of other ebooks that i wont review yet. But i think i will.

In Plain Sight is good for stage by the way Mark...comes with a complete script...

For those that don't know Mick, he's the (i believe) first ever full timer pro mentalist employed by Disney of all people! So his work is a mixture of high entertainment, and those all important mystery moments...

I'm going to enlarge that, print it up, frame it, hammer a nail into my wall and stick it up; pride of place above my mantelpiece. It's gotta be worth something...

I can see lots of ways of using this in parlour routines, stage work, business 'speeches' - anything with a group of people. It's a very neat idea adaptable to many uses (probably not table hopping). Highly recommended (unless you work on my beat!)
