Hi Pluxus - nice to see you pop your head back round the door after a year! (I'm not being sarcastic - welcome back - home medicine is treating you well).
Don't have much advice on getting a new TT, other than: Vernet's are generally considered the best, and as well as size they do two types - a softer one and a hard one. They have their pros and cons: the softer one I feel is slightly more "chunky" and I feel a bit more conscious of it than the hard one, but I would say the finish is more matt, and it tends to stay on better I find.
The harder one seems slimmer and also a better colour, but the inside seems a bit more slippery and with it being rigid, doesn't always seem to grip as well, especially if it's packed with a silk. But I find it's slippiness is an asset for doing the bill switch.
The other one I occasionally use is the really cheap, small vinyl one, which is usually what comes free with stuff like the silk blendo. Not much good for silks, but because it's so small and fits so tightly it's perfect for the vanishing match!
