good morning.
after spending time now and then searching for reviews on this site by googling, i finally concidered to join so maybe you can help answer some of my questions if i need to.

okay well my name is nathan and im 21and i live in the west midlands uk. ive been into magic forever but never really practiced the art properley until about a year an a half ago.my grandad is an old time magician who used 'big, colourful' props for his shows but i didnt intend to go into that what i call 'cheesy magic ' lol. i started with cards and learned a great deal and good advice from my first lot of videos from ellusionist such as crash course 1 & 2,kard klub etc.

i am actually a really shy person and often find it hard to perfrom there on the spot, and as i keep telling everyone of my friends, 'although i may have some cards or whatever on me,if i just dont feel right and im not in the right state of mind then i cant perform' or i do need a drink which gets me on a role.

urm im not into flourishing, my character could compare to i suppose derren brown, someone a bit mysterious a bit dark that sort of thing, so im not really into flashy card effects etc.but i really want to slowly work my way up to mentalism but without the cards.
my little routine for the moment is as follows
2 card monte
into- ten card poker deal
into- maybe biddle trick(demonstarting cheats card control
into-angle zero(my little variation touch)
then deck switch into osterlinds breakthrough card system in which i do 'challenge mind reading'
then finally ending with 'white star' by jim critchlow.

its used only with 2 decks. i think its okay. i start working from the fun enjoyable gambling effects then slowly work it up to the mentalism and then just die all that fun racy effects into the wonderful emotional 'white star'.

im just so enthusiastic about magic, im just buzzing with so many ideas and thoughts.but i have just not yet got the confidence needed :( .

for christmas ive already purchased for myself 'the grail' by mike rose, 'fall' from papercrane. and then the hierloom with wallet, which i have to admit it came in the post the other day and i was cheekily curious so i opened it and actually modified the wallet, yes modified! only for personal preference.

i know this has been a bit of a read but i hope you liked my intoduction.and look foward to suggestions and future help. thanks.

Hi and welcome to TM  .

Nice intro by the way - not the usual, "Hi I'm Bob and I like card tricks" ....

QUESTION:
If we can sue McDonalds for making us fat and cigarette companies for giving us cancer; why can't we sue Smirnoff for all the ugly gits we've sh*gged ??
