Nope...

Barton: Have you read the Bible, Pete?
Pete: Holy Bible?
Barton: Yeah.
Pete: Yeah, I think so. Anyway, I've heard about it.

I think you misquoted me there. You might want to look again.

Invoke not reason. In the end it is too small a deity.

Unfortunately, my predictive skills are completely bobbins. I had a phone call earlier to say that a man from the auction site against which the allegations are being made has decided to do an interview to defend himself, so I've been bumped :( However, my stuff is supposed to go on the Watchdog web site, and I was asked if I'd be available to have another go in the near future.

What a palaver!

I predict that Iain will be back, donning his magic Cloak of Invisibility.

I predict Mr. Browning will post another long, but informative post ending with a winking emoticon. :P

Serious prediction: 80's synthpop will be back in a big way next year. Cheap cover versions by girl "bands" (like they've ever been near a musical instrument), and up-and-coming Shoreditch art school types with junkshop Korg MS-20s. First one to spot a Kraftwerk rip off gets to dance like a robot.

Wey hey! 6 months on and I seem to have been right.

All kneel and acknowledge me as your new god. After all, I want nothing in return...

In Hull we have the impressive back to the 80s festival on soon starring The Human League, Belinda Carlisle, Bananarama, Go West, and T'Pau. Who'd have thought any of them would still be going.

The Human League are soooo cool. And of course they're from Sheffield, so double cool!

In fact, back in the late 1970's, the Human League and Heaven 17 were in fact the same band (named Human League) and they brought out some fantastic underground synth-pop that influenced a generation, set the groundwork for New Order, and paved the way for the dance explosion of the 90's. Check out "Voice of Buddha", "Empire State Human", and a wonderful cover of Gary Glitter's "Rock n Roll".

I'm related by marriage to Joanne Catherall, you know. I've never met her, but that's life.
