Green and slimy again I'm afraid.
This time I've managed to wrench my knee and need to go to the doctors

Green and slimy because the "items stolen" list from our break in at the weekend has just gone up to two... I wasn't that bothered about my digital camera because frankly I've been looking for an excuse to get another, but looks like the thieving b@5t@rds picked up my watch from my desk as well.

Now, I try not to be too attached to material things. But I think pretty much everyone who gets a watch, especially as a birthday present as this was, grows fond of it - it has sentimental value even if only by familiarity.

They will get almost nothing for it, yet it causes upset and annoyance on my part and also on the part of my Ma who bought it for me. And just the fact that there are people sh1tty enough not to care one bit about that depresses me.

I'm sorry if you've had a hard life, if your daddy beat you and your mum was an alcoholic, but you don't have to have been brought up with a silver spoon in your mouth to think about how your actions might impact others. I just wish I could zap them with some kind of futuristic ray that will make them realise what total ****s they've been.

Green and slimy AGAIN.
This time courtesy of the DVLA

The DVLA very kindly sent me a bill for £110.46 for tax arrears and late licensing fee on a car which I scrapped.
And to make matters worse, they wont let me have a telephone number to "appeal" - I have to send them a letter and wait... you guessed it... 4-6 weeks for a response. By which time the time limit to pay the bill will have expired and I could be liable for more charges.
GRRRRRR!!

Just got back off a solitary retreat.

Terrorists in India greeted me on the front page. When will people learn? Hatred is never stilled by hatred, only by love.

Literally green and slimy because I just sneezed, rather violently, into my hand and did not have a tissue to clean up the resultant mess. Hence, contents of nose now in hand.

I've just spent the last 15 mins writing a nice rant about the religious thread and it's was locked 2 mins before I posted it.

I'm very annoyed so I've put it below here instead.

So it doesn't hurt anyones feeling please do not read on if you are sensitive in the ways of religious stuff.

You are still reading so I presume you aren't. If you are please stop reading......Stop it.

right! hopefully the easily offended and sensitive of mind have moved on so you can now read my Opus of a rant with a mind free of offense (although none is meant - a serious point is meant however)

I am all for freedom of the individual to believe in what ever floats their boat but utterly object when that belief is then brought in to public life and affects public policy.
I think a perfect example of this is euthanasia. Here we have a subject that whenever is challenged or in the news a Bishop or (place religious bigot title here) is wheeled out to give his "Expert" opinion, an opinion that is no more expert than anyone who has read a book on noddy and has decided he dislikes big earlobes.
Whereas surely any subject that involves the rights of the individual being eroded due to unfounded claims of knowledge (aka faith) by anyone or group should all of a sudden be taken seriously because someone's belief has to be respected?
I certainly do not believe that because some has been told from birth or has decided to believe in a system that has no rational basis that all of a sudden I have to automatically back down to save hurt feelings or tender ideas. Imagine our political system if everytime someone critised a policital party "their delicate sensibilites were hurt" and they demanded respect and withdrawal of that challenge for their parties policies?? but no religion gets a special licence on the hurt feelings card too.

I've had cancer once and if I get an incurable form of it next time I certainly dont want some holier than though nutcase telling me that I can't die with any shred of dignity because they have a inkling that maybe there's an invisible man in the sky that might be a bit miffed that I haven't suffered enough.
I dont mean this to be offensive ( I truley hope it isn't) but this is how things stand as they are today.
I wil re-iterate that every human being has the right to believe whatever they wish / feel (as long as its a free choice - indoctrinating kids is a whole new barrel of kippers) but when it affects the personal freedoms of those who don't perscribe to them, well it makes me want to slap a panda.

P.s No Pandas were slapped in the writing of this post
