Struggling with an effect? Any tips (without giving too much away!) you'd like to share?

I don't know if you have the same problem as I had, until I discovered (by recommendation here in TM forum) fingertip moistener or Sortkwik. It's like day and night, the difference in card handling for me, using it or not.

Young Mr Bellars seems to have an inkling of what I was talking about. However for a fuller description I should advise using the middle finger for the move in question. In other words you do the glide as normal holding the deck in your left hand but with the right middle finger you do the tricky bit but it isn't actually that tricky to do at all.

Show the face card to the audience Now point to the face card with the middle finger of your right hand. Do not remove the finger as you turn the deck face down with the left hand. Now do the glide as you normally would. The action of the middle finger will aid the retention of vision illusion.

For a fuller description by Lewis Ganson you have to refer to one of the Routined Manipulation books. I have no idea which one and I can't be bothered looking it up. Seek and ye shall find.
