Well almost a 'newbie'; I've done a dozen posts. I'm also an oldie (60+) - bus pass status. I've been interested in magic since before many of you were born (I hope I'm not going to be clobbered by 'ageist' rebukes). I'm a professional speaker (on marketing, selling, team building) and an after dinner speaker. As well as that, I do MC work and I'm ex Chamber of Commerce President (Kingston). I'm a part time cartoonist (hence my pen name) and I play saxophone in a local band. I do lots of 'roleplaying' (with other actors) to teach face to face communications skills to doctors, lawyers and other professional groups. My magic performance experiences are very limited; the occasional simple flourish during a lunchtime / breakfast seminar but I intend to build up my repertoire and skills. Right now, I'm at the stage of investigating and researching with a view to sort out in my mind what I want to perform. In other words, I'm spending too much money on tricks and routines that I'll probably never perform (but I'm calming down). I like mentalism routines (Bob Cassidy), some card tricks (Paul Gordon) and coin work (haven't yet got a mentor...). Anyway, that's enough from me to say 'hello' so I'll now say 'cheerio'. Thanks Will
