Postby bananafish » Nov 15th, '04, 12:37

I have just received this in the post, so if you are interested - why not give it a go...

Channel 4 is looking for up-and-coming magicians to perform in a cabaret night.
a.. Are you 18 - 38?
b.. Do you have a 6-8 minute magic act?

Please contact Charlie Russell on 0207 013 4293 to arrange an audition.

Auditions will be held in London on Monday and Tuesday the 29th and 30th of November.

The performance will be held on the 12th of December.

Working title is obviously Club 18-38, subtitled 'Wrinklies Need Not Apply'!

There's an old Army joke where musical volunteers are requested and the idiots who do volunteer have to move the piano. Perhaps this uses the same logic - they have a lot of very heavy magic props to move so are looking for young, fit and strong volunteers?

Nice to know you're over the hill in yer early 40's. Spend all of the time practicing and then it's too late! Story of my life (LOL).

Anyway, what I really wanted to say is that there's too little magic on TV these days and what is on, always seems to go through C4 first. Well done to them but poor from the rest! Let's see much more in 2005.

It's not really an optical illusion - it just looks like one!
