Yeah he's the one who recommended I join...

Read into that what you will...

On the presentation side I've got a nice presentation i'd happily give, really funny cause the trick is simple but the reactions it gets are insane!!! I got a place on a TV talent show because of it. In fact if anyone wants it just PM me.

I will definitely contribute, if this does in fact happen.

That I find surprising, Mr. Kras

I'd throw something in there, sure. Agreed, I don't think it has to be a 100% "original trick" (if there is such a thing), a few "featured favourites" would go down just as well.

I think it's a great idea. Lulu looks a good choice for a limited run of hard copies... given that at the very minimum, everyone who contributes is going to want a copy, I'd think it'd be worth their while!

I'd definately contribute! Excellent idea, by the way. I'd even be happy to help with the production to make sure the idea doesn't die out!

I may be wrong but I seem to recall Lady of Mystery doing some research into creating just such a book a year or so ago. May be worth asking for her input?

I can't contribute any effects, but I'd be happy to do the editing, design/layout, and creation of the PDF.

Count me in. I like to think Im one of life's smart arses you see. Show me an effect and i usually come up with a different way of doing it. Every now and then its a better way too.

I try all the time to come up with something desperately original and obviously its not an easy thing to do, but i have my own take on a number of tricks i'd be more than happy to share.

I did, you're right there. I got as far as getting the rough outline together but researching and testing everything was just taking too much time, that I didn't really have.

You go for it Hodgkinson and I'm more than happy to give you a hand with it.

We spoke once about a book for children's magic Lady of Mystery [edit: as in for children wanting to do magic, not tricks to perform to children] ... perhaps we can produce a childrens section together for this!!

I thought the whole point of Lulu is that the books are printed and shipped on demand, so there's no need for anyone to hold stock and mess about with taking payment and arranging postage.

It's best for a book to have an ISBN, although it's not mandatory. If the book is going to be distributed entirely through Lulu as a selling channel, then an ISBN is not required. If we want to distribute it through other channels but are happy for Lulu to be named as the publisher, then one is required but free. If we want them not to be mentioned at all, then it's $100 to buy one.
