Stumbled upon this forum quite a while ago, been lurking around and reading and I thought its time I better register, get to know some people and join in on conversations when I can
Well, I'm 22 now, in Cambridgeshire - UK, and been interested in magic since school really, just as a general interest and experimenting with a few tricks here and there, but I never properly stuck with it then.
Out of the many forms of magic, I have found a lot quite interesting, but not really into street magic or big illusions or anything, I think my main interest lies with the good 'ol devils picture book, a nice deck of cards to perform tricks with.
I think the person who has inspired me the most in terms of magic would be Derren Brown (well...magician, psychological illusionist, mentalist i guess), i just find what he does fascinating and enjoy reading up about certain things he does.
But back to my main interest, which is card magic, I think this is what I really want to practice more. What I love the most is performing these tricks in front of friends and family in various occasions, it really brings people together, and I just love the amazed reactions. The next time the family come over or when we meet, they always mention about my card tricks, and its just a nice feeling I guess.
