Southern England Magic Convention

Hi Paul, if you mean tickets for the "Show" (as in Gala Show & After Show Party) then there are indeed tickets for just that aspect of the Convention at a reduced price of just £20.00 each.

If you mean however for the whole "Convention" then the price is £28.00 per ticket (no discounts) as this is an unbelievable "Credit Crunching" price already! considering that you will get the lectures, the dealers, the Gala Show, The After Show Party (no extra charge!) Free Car Parking, a FANTASTIC VENUE with all facilities etc. To see what is lined up for the day, just visit: www.semagicconvention.com

All Good Wishes

I certainly hope so!!!

The venue is fantastic, I've been watching the darts on TV just to "Clock" the venue, it has all the facilities that you you could wish for!!

What I hope to create is a show (& party afterwards) that will be different to any other Convention Show. The Party afterwards should be a "Party" (not just by name!) but a real "Party" with a party atmosphere, with spot cabaret/games & "FUN" etc etc that's what I am aiming for anyway. With a Disco at the end.

Of course a party is only as good as it's guests, which is why I personally want more of you girls to attend!

Some Magicians will most probably be leaving their wives & girlfriends at home, I hope this will not be the case! because there are "Show Only" tickets available, which they could attend, (indeed with the whole family should they wish).

Ticket sales are really hotting up now, I sold loads through the Studio yesterday.

I should have my "Something Special" for my appearance in the show by the end of next week (Please keep this to yourself Sheprendo, I know I discussed this with you ages ago, & it does look like this is going to happen!!) All the acts are pulling out all the stops, to present something "Unique" we've all been working on things for several months now, lots of artists & things that would never been seen before! Something truly different!!

The exitement is now really beginning to kick in!!

Can't wait..........................

All good wishes

Geoff and I are really looking forward to seeing James More at the Convention. We saw him win a major competition in the summer. He is an excellent young magician with a great future.

James is one of the performers that I'm also looking forward to seeing and Mel Mellors is up there on the list too.

Yes, young James has really come on leaps & bounds, he will have a completely new act for the SEMC convention, never seen before. I may even twist his arm to perform his standard act in the After Show Party as well, (but I'm not promising!!!)

El Loco is also another one to watch out for, as I know he has a few surprises up his sleeve, he has never before appeared at any Magic Convention before either. Magic Singh is another to watch out for, I believe he is working on something special for the Convention, then of course you've got Babe Ning from Singapore & JC Sum, plus Mel Mellers etc etc. With lectures & competitions, plus of course all the dealers, it should be a fun packed day!

Southern England Magic Convention

Just noticed that this thread could be confusing, because the heading is regarding the Southern England Magic Convention NEXT JAN! it is of course THIS JAN, in just a few weeks time!!! (The thread was started last year, & it seemed so far away then!)

There will of course be one next year (a TWO DAY event!) but this thread is regarding this years convention which is 31st Jan 09.

Perhaps a moderator can remove the reference to "Next Year".

All good wishes

If people have not got tickets can they still get them from you and SEMC? Are they still only £28.00 for the whole day great value? As you know Mike I was one of the first to get mine.

Can one of the organisers please define what 'smart casual' actually means as it means different things to different people (jeans ? T-Shirts ?)

The site state that trainers aren't allowed due to the flooring but why ? If the trainers have a rubber sole that isn't black they wouldn't mark and yet black rubber-soled shoes may ?
