Visiting Scotland

Postby Amanda Angeli » Aug 1st, '08, 22:57

Hello All,

So, I'll be coming to Scotland shortly, for almost a month, and I was wondering, are there any good magic stores up there and where are they?

Also, I'll mostly be in the highlands. Any suggestions on fun things to see or do?

My plan is to go to the Isle of Lewis for some North Atlantic surfing, to do about a week of rowing on Loch Ness, and to hang at the Single Malt Whisky Society Clubhouse in Edinburough for a few nights. I also plan to do some magic in any pubs I happen to be in if they'll let me, mostly focusing on tarot readings, palmreading, and handwriting analysis.

Any other suggestions?

Thank you.

Love,

Amanda Angeli

I am, in fact, I stayed there at their flats for a few days. It was awesome. Both the flats and the nightly Scotch. They had Scotch of the month, Scotch of the week, Scotch of the day, and, my favorite, Scotch of the moment. What could possibly be better than Scotch of the moment?

Thank you all for your suggestions. My trips was totally bodacious. I spent most of my time in the Highlands, a lot of it canoeing Loch Ness. I'm looking forward to freediving there next year.

Love,

Amanda Angeli

While there's a thread about it... I'm probably gonna be hitting Edinburgh for the Ireland Scotland Six Nations match, is there a magic shop in Edinburgh at all? Pick it up cheap (given that sterling is worth nothing against the euro at the moment!!!)

As mentioned before there's Tam Shepherd's, run by Roy Walton, in Glasgow. Roy's not in all the time, so if you want to speak to him, make sure you phone and find a day when he's working. As far as I, or any of my friends, are aware, it's the only magic shop in Scotland - head past the jokes towards the back to get to the magic. You may find trinkets in joke shops elsewhere but nothing really of value. of course, I'd love for someone to prove me wrong! We want more magic shops in Scotland!
