Hello everyone!

Hi, I'm a new member here. I'm 18 and currently studying in Ngee Ann Polytechnic, Singapore. I got interested in magic tricks in the past 1 year and I'm really facinated by card tricks!

I stumbled upon this forum while surfing the net and i thought it'll be a good place for me to enrich my knowledge on magic!

Personally, I'm really into card tricks(although I'm alright with the rest). I was just wondering if anyone here have a good book recommendation on card tricks(for beginners, of course).

P.S. There is this trick that involves a person distributing a number (e.g. 10) of cards and counting them to an audience. He than retrives the cards and does it over and over again. The trick is the number of cards disappear one by one after each turn without the audience being able to figure how. Does anyone have any idea what is the name of this trick?? Thx a million!

Hi and welcome to TalkMagic! I don't recognise the routine you mention but I'm sure somebody else will be able to offer more about it in due course.

zkwan86, another brand new member also asked this same question yesterday. Check out the 'magicians talk' section.

It's not really an optical illusion - it just looks like one!
