Vortex PK Ring... weak or just me?

Postby i1011i » Dec 30th, '08, 22:22

So I recently bought a vortex pk ring to branch out just a little bit. I also purchased all sorts of putties, soft, hard, magnum. I have only been playing with it a few hours but it seems to be completely unresponsive unless I am literally a couple of millimeters from the putty. This seems kind of pointless if I have to be this close to use it... unless I am missing something here? I received two rings and both are about the same. Is the problem with the ring or is there something I am missing here? Thanks.

I had the same problem. I bought it because I preferred the look of it compared to my G2 but was shocked by how weak it was. It wouldn't even hold a 2p piece through a thin plastic cup. I sent mine back to the dealer I had bought it from and he said it seemed very weak and would replace it with one from a new batch (still waiting!) so maybe there was a poor batch produced. Might be worth taking it back.

That’s what happens when a company gets jealous and copies a product they no longer have for distribution (Wizard PK Ring). An inferior product is produced.
