Looking for old trick I used to perform

Postby mypins » Jan 8th, '09, 00:30

Hi folks. I am new to the forum and hopefully someone will remember this trick. About 30 years ago I purchased a trick where a matchbox had a candelabra on both sides and no candles/flames. A match was taken out and waved around the matchbox and then the flames of a certain color appeared when the matchbox was turned over. Over the next few minutes the performer would turn the matchbox around and with each turn the color of the flames would change. Finally, there were different colored flames on each side. I remember how to do the trick and have looked for it online but to no avail. And I can't remember what it was called. Can anyone help??? Thanks, Michael

this sounds like a pat conway thing. Match boxes were his forte.

If you can remember the full MO for this then would you not be able to make one up yourself?
Even if not exact, the principle could be used to make something similar.
